Lake Lanier, Georgia – Friday, March 27 - Sunday, March 29
The LLSC Dogwood Regatta 2020 (2nd Annual), will be held on Lake Sidney Lanier just north of Atlanta, Georgia. All shoreside events including the Friday registration and Friday evening Skipper's Meeting will take place the clubhouse at Lake Lanier Sailing Club (LLSC), 6602 Commodore Dr. Flowery Branch, GA 30542.
The Regatta will be governed by the Rules as defined in the Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS) 2017-2020, the PHRF Rules and Regulations as adopted and amended by the LLPHRF and the class rules of any one-design fleets as established. The prescriptions of rules 63.2 and 63.4 will not apply.
The Regatta is open to all auxiliary keelboats, multi-hulls keelboats, and one-design boats. All competing vessels shall display a sail number on the mainsail. Any boat not displaying a sail number will be scored as Did Not Start (DNS). This changes rule 62.1. This will not be grounds for redress.
Auxiliary keelboats sailing in a PHRF fleet must have a valid PHRF Rating issued by the Lake Lanier PHRF Committee. Applications for a PHRF Rating must be handled directly with the LLPHRF Committee. See www.phrf-lakelanier.com/home/ for application and information.
A minimum of four (4) boats shall constitute a one design fleet. All Fleets will be established at the close of advanced registration Monday, March 23, 2020. Fleets will be established BASED ON PRE-REGISTRATION ENTRIES and MAY include:
J-22, J-24, Melges 24, Elliott 770, Catalina 22, Santana 20, FT10, Wavelength 24
PHRF: Spinnaker Fleets , PHRF: Non-Spinnaker Fleets, PHRF: Multi-Hulls, or Cruiser Fleet.

Qualifications for the Cruiser Fleet are as follows:
1. Displacement hull with a fixed keel.
2. No spinnaker
3. One headsail at any time, except for cutter designed sailboats
4. No staysails
5. Operating inboard/outboard engine
6. Functioning Head and Galley
7. Interior Cushions
8. Dacron sails
Rating adjustments and qualifications will be made and approved by the organizing authority 1st officer.
3. Sailing Instructions
The Sailing Instructions will be available in a “hard copy” form at registration and will also be posted on the Official Notice Board, located at the Lake Lanier Sailing Club (LLSC), 6602 Commodore Dr., Flowery Branch, GA 30542. The Sailing instructions will also be available at the club website www.LLSCKeelboat.com.
The Low Point Scoring system will be used. Auxiliaries using LLPHRF rating system, modified by time-on- distance correction. One race
